Our primary goal is to contribute to enhancing civil aviation security while simultaneously optimizing the airport experience for both passengers and staff.

Your role at Point FWD

This role involves short-term and long-term consulting assignments with international clients, primarily airports, to develop and design, assess, improve, and optimize their aviation security assets and processes using data-driven approaches. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience with BI tooling and MS Excel, and a strong will to understand the Aviation and Security industry.  This is a client-facing role where effective communication, industry knowledge, and analytical skills are essential. Preferred candidates can present proven skills and experience in several capabilities.

Below are some key focus areas, when becoming our new data-driven Aviation Security Consultant:

  • Collect, consolidate, and maintain automated data points to develop dashboard environments of security screening performance (e.g., throughput rates, detection performance, false alarm rates) across multiple international airports.

  • Conduct and convey statistical analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities for OEMs and airports that deploy security screening assets.

  • Develop and refine functional checkpoint concepts focused on capacity, efficiency, passenger flow, and other KPMs, ensuring a successful response to client requirements.

  • Use in-house developed modelling tooling, and fast-time simulation tools to support and envision new screening concepts, simulate passenger flows, and validate checkpoint layouts under various scenarios.

  • Support clients in making informed decisions by providing insights generated through our data-driven approach and tools. Effectively communicate these insights to clients through reports, workshops, and meetings, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on recommended actions.

  • Engage with equipment manufacturers and service providers on technology improvements, and stay informed on industry standards and regulatory changes.

Your profile

  • You have obtained a bachelor's or master’s degree in relevant area of study.

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a consultant or client-facing role, preferably within aviation (security)

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and MS Excel for data analysis, visualization, and reporting or similar.

  • Strong analytical skills, with a high proficiency in numbers and calculations.

  • Excellent communication skills in native Dutch and preferably professional working proficiency in English

  • Advantage; knowledge of aviation security processes

  • Based in the Netherlands – Schiphol Area
